As a womxn, why do you think it is important to create?

We all have a story worth telling through which ever medium you use

What has been your proudest moment as an artist/creative?

Watching the expresión of this strangers face as I told the meaning of one of my most personal and emotional paintings

How do you define love?

A beautiful heartache

What is art?

Art is therapy

Describe the space that you like to create in?

A calm space where I can be by myself play oldies both in Spanish and English and be able to dance as I paint. This space has to be full of happy and positive vibes.

What do you like to listen to while you create?

Boleros and Jazz

How do you make time to create?

I paint everyday at last 2 hours

How does your mental health affect your work?

In every way, my mental health defines the emotion of that days art piece.

What is your earliest memory of making art?

I was five and I got my little cousin to pose so I could paint a portrait of her.

Do you have any words of advice for young womxn/artist/creators out there? 

Never give up on what makes you happy even if money is the biggest struggle. If you do what makes you happy, the money will come on its own. Imagine doing your passion everyday of your life. That happiness is worth never giving up on

What social issues do you care about most?

As a Latina and a double minority racism is a big issue to me.

Who are your influences/inspirations?

As an artist, Frida Kahlo is a big inspiration to me

What message do you want to spread with your art?

Art is a way of healing your soul and in that process your art can heal other souls

Do you practice self-love? If so, how?

By surrounding myself that are positive and see my inner beauty as well

What does self-love mean to you?

To me self love is being able to be completely by yourself in silence and be content
