Oratory (right now, comedy). I also like music and visual art (drawing, painting, photoshop, acting), but not professionally.

What has been your proudest moment as a creative?

Ha, it might’ve been at that New Parkway mic you saw. I did two and at the first one I guessed a lady’s mother died. And then I made a joke out of it. I was proud of myself for turning something sad into something funny.

What do you like to listen to while you create?

I’m a music snob. Right now I’m playing “Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Parts I-V)” on Pink Floyd’s Wish You Were Here.

How do you define art? What does art mean to you?

Art is what you do well. Anything can be art. Catch someone’s attention and you made art.

What or who inspires you?

My creative partner. Comedians I like: Maria Bamford, Louis C.K, Andy Kaufman, and Tig Notaro are some of the people I’ve been watching alot of lately.

Jade, you’ve got that magic to spark laughter from the hardest material and keep it roaring til we’re all out of air. We will never forget your “white girl in a wheelchair” joke #comedygold
